Attempt to Hike in Marquette...#1

…first day of hiking in Marquette was…well, adventurous I suppose. It started out wonderful: breakfast at Babycakes. Best bakery in town, and I agree! At breakfast (after my random conversation with the old man at the table on the sidewalk across from me), I decided to go find Little Garlic Falls. Long story short, something made me really uneasy, I thought I had missed a turn and had passed the falls and turned back. I ran into an elderly couple who had done the hike before and said the falls were 4 miles in…my book said 2 to 2.5 miles. Oh well, to be attempted and completed in the near future. On the drive home I noticed these falls (picture...but it's a bit blury and I can't figure out why...) on the side of the road. A few attempts of fiddling with my camera’s timer and running on the rocks to get into position and managed to get this ok shot of me and the waterfalls (whose name I still need to find…).

Dinner was out of my Rachel Ray cookbook (Tomato-Basal Pasta Nests) and it was AMAZING!!! I also made bruschetta, well the topping for it; letting the flavors blend tonight and will eat it tomorrow!

Perhaps more adventures tomorrow…
