Jenna, the Marquette Tour Guide

My grandparents stopped in Marquette during their “Tour of Michigan” today. They rolled into town around noon and had reservations at the hotel that is located downtown. I met them at the hotel and then I took them on a walking tour of Marquette. We left the hotel and walked downtown to Lower Harbor, back up to Third Street and then straight to the Superior Dome. I took them in and showed them around the dome before we headed back down Fourth Street where we took a mini break at my apartment. Then off to their hotel where they freshened up a bit and we watched some Olympics before taking a drive up Lakeshore Drive, around Presque Isle, and then back to Lower Harbor where we sat in the shade before going to L’Attitude for dinner. It was delicious. L’Attitude is definitely a place where I can see myself returning to!

It was a wonderful afternoon and evening full of Marquette-ness! We saw 2 iron ore boats get loaded at the Ore Dock which was quite exciting. I’ve seen the boats in numerous times but could never figure out how the whole process worked. We figured it out! There’s another wrinkle for the brain!
